aipmt neet 2011 nlm & frict q 3 Impulse is a vector quantity and its relation with linear momentum as 

per Impulse - Momentum theorem is required to solve this problem .further relation between 

momentum and velocity needs to be applied . its always better to clarify directions in such type of 

problem where vectors are involved. since only magnitude is asked in the final answer so we should 

get rid of negative sign in the end.
