Q 1)A thin circular ring of mass M and radius r is rotating about its axis with constant angular velocity ω Two objects each of mass m are (attached gently to the opposite ends of a diameter of the ring. The ring now rotates with angular velocity given by

AIPMT/NEET 2003 | C.O.M & Rotation Q 1 | In the process of attaching masses on rotating circular ring there will be no external torque so Angular Momentum of system will remain conserved.

If external torque about a axis is zero then angular momentum of the system about that axis will remains conserved. So if t axis = 0 Þ Laxis = constant
